PAUL DE LA HOUVE (HOUWE, HOVE)
Worked in the first quarter of 17th century
France
An engraver
In the beginning of 17th century, his family moved from Flanders to Paris. His father was a publisher and a dealer in objects of art. His biography is almost unknown. The earliest information available about de la Houve dates from 1637 when his daughter was baptized, and the latest from 1678, when one of his portraits was made. He is sometimes confused with his father, of the same name.
